Camp Abe Lincoln Smoking Policy

Sign up for the prayer vigil online! By visiting Prayer Vigil Signup and scrolling down to Quad-Cities Emmaus Community you can make your selection from the available days and times…anytime! Your name and general location are the only information that will appear on the prayer vigil sign-up page. If you prefer, you do not need to reveal your full name or specific location, though you will be asked to provide an e-mail address in order to receive a reminder of your prayer commitment as well as possibly receiving team and pilgrim lists. If you are willing to offer up one hour of prayer to support the pilgrims, team and others who serve on the weekend, please do. You may sign up as an individual, a reunion group or as a family, and though you are welcome to come to Camp Abe Lincoln to pray, you may pray from anywhere.
Don’t have internet access? No problem. Sign-up sheets will still be available at gatherings and other
events.

Gatherings…. We have been looking for ways to breathe new life into the Quad Cities Emmaus movement and our Gatherings. As you know, we decided to move away from potlucks this year to shorten the time commitment for attending the Gathering. In addition, we started a “sermon series” at the February Gathering. Pastor Nolden started it off by introducing us to MRS GREN. Mrs. Gren is really an acronym for renewal:

M Movement
R Respiration
S Sensitivity

G Growth
R Reproduction
E Excretion
N Nutrition

Please join us as at upcoming Gatherings to learn how you can be challenged with renewal in our community, our church and our lives. Join us as we meet Mrs. Gren at this year's QCEC Gatherings.
For more information about MRS GREN go to: http://www.sambal.co.uk/mrsgren.html
Let 2008 be the year for RENEWAL in your life.

Cost of the Weekend To Increase

Due to financial losses realized in operating Camp Abe Lincoln, the YMCA has deemed it necessary to increase rental fees for use of the property. Our current registration fee of $85 per person is simply not sufficient to cover costs involved with holding Walk to Emmaus Weekends. Therefore, effective with the Fall 2008 weekends, the fee for team members and pilgrims will be $125.

A challenge has been set before the members of the Quad Cities Emmaus Community.  That challenge is to specifically pray every Thursday for the Emmaus movement withing the Quad Cities.
